hawks, woodpeckers and eagles
more presents ^_^ I painted the red-tailed hawk and pileated woodpecker for my mommy. I drown her in bird paintings. We have a red-tailed hawk that frequents our yard so I deemed this appropriate. haha c: There's no background for the woodpecker because I cut him out so she could hang him on the wall. My mom likes to do stuff like that. c:
My grandfather commissioned me to paint bald eagles for my nanny for her birthday. I of course went over board and they loved it ^_^ Althea is my grandmother and why I love my middle name so much. My grandfather also used to work for the airlines so I put the airplane in there for him.
I had this printed on canvas from Canvas HQ as well and it came out aammazzinnng. I forgot to take pictures of it before I gave it to them though :/ oops.

Jim Cummings
okay so, my brother and his girlfriend recently went to Connecticon a few weeks ago. My brother was all kinds of excited because his favorite voice actor Jim Cummings was going to be there. About 2 weeks before the convention my brother and his girlfriend came to me and asked if I could do a portrait of Jim with all (well as many as I could fit) the characters he has voiced over the years.
So yadda yadda, long story short I had 3 prints made, one for me, one for my brother's girlfriend to have signed and one for Jim! They went and gave it to him and he absolutely LOVED it! Below are pictures my brother took with his cellphone of his girlfriend holding her signed copy. My brother also got a nice little thank you video from Jim for me which was all kinds of neat ^_^.

tired souls and ponies
Back in 2008 I did two horse head studies (bottom image). I finally finished the third one recently and it made me want to re-do the other two. Then I deiced to turn them into a bit of a series. Maybe more new ones to come.
Sorry for the old art re-do's but I really love them.
It's fun to see how your art changes over the years...

eurasian wigeon and old squaw paintings (with progress shots!)
Oh boy, where to begin.
My grandfather came to me and asked if I could do paintings for my uncles. One of them recovering from being very ill. They are former duck hunters and have a wide collection of duck taxidermy (which is where I get my affinity for it from.) I had to "secretly" get the names of their favorite ducks from my grandmother and grandfather, which proved to be a bit of a task.. haha. This christmas I did an awesome job at surprising them with these ^_^ I printed them out 13 x 19, matted and framed them in 16 x 20 frames. They looked so pretty!!
So long story short they loved them and so did everybody else at my Aunt's house. The end!
Oh and, one of my Aunts asked me if I had done them in water color. I died of happiness that night.
Oh and here are the progress shots for both of them! I finally remembered!
christmas ornaments 2011
Late to the party again but WHATEVER!
These are the Christmas ornaments I made this year for all my friends and family! I had to make about 30 of them.. *dies*
Everybody loved them so I'm over it ^_^
Hermey and Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer! My favorite. This is the beginning of my new theme. Next year will be more characters form the Rankin-Bass films. *excited face*
